A little bit about us...
The Boys...
FOREST EDGE FREDDO
Freddo one of our proven rams. Freddo was our first home bred lamb was born 11th September 2018 to first time mum Delilah, a very friendly, handsome lad who when he was young liked to keep us and our fabulous vets on their toes!! In 2020 he fathered his first offspring 2 ewe lambs after a visit to some Valais girls on the IOW. Then in 2021 he gave us 3 ewe and 2 ram lambs.
FOREST EDGE HORACE
Our ram Horace was born 28th April 2020 he is Maggies second lamb for us and half brother to Gretl. He is well marked full of life and shows a lot of presence, because of this he is a lucky boy and has been kept intact. He will either stay with us and work with our girls or if the right home comes along he could go to pastures new...lets wait and see and follow his story!
BLACKERTOR DONALD
Donald our handsome wether! Not perfect, missing his black knees and hocks but reserve breed champion at Dorchester show 2019! A larger than life personality, fantastic companion and loving brother to Delilah.

BLACKERTOR DELILAH
Delilah...what a poppet she really is the friendliest sheep. Twin sister to Donald born February 2017 joined us in May 2017 when we started our small flock. Fabulous mum to Freddo, hers and our first lamb, Gwen, Hermione and now in 2022 beautiful twins, a ewe and ram lamb still to be named, all have taken on her fabulous character.
GEMSTONES MAGGIE
Maggie the most timid but incredibly strong! Born in Cornwall April 2015, spent a time in Carlisle before joining us in February 2019. She has already produced some beautiful lambs for her previous owners and we are delighted that she has given us Gretl a beautiful ewe in 2019, in 2020 Horace a striking ram lamb and Ida in 2021.
sadly this year she lost her own lamb but took on mothering one of Margret's twins and is doing a fantastic job of it.
GEMSTONES MARGRET
Margret was born in Cornwall with Maggie in April 2015 she also moved to Carlisle for a time before joining us in the New Forest in February 2019. Since then she has become mum to Gavin a wether we who sold, in 2020 she had twin ewe lambs Hoppity and Harmony who went to live with brother Gavin, 2021 another ewe lamb Isla who we are so pleased we decided to keep because this year Margret struggled at the end of her pregnancy and although she produced a handsome set of twin boys we have decided to retire her and let her live out her days in a place she is loved.
FOREST EDGE GRETL
Gretl is mum Maggie's first lamb since joining our flock! She was born on 1st September 2019 and although a little slow to get going soon made up for it and is now a big strong girl, she is a real character. 2021 saw Gretl becoming a mum, Imelda came in to the world perfectly and Gretl was a fantastic mum.
FOREST EDGE IMELDA
Imelda was born 19th April 2021. She was mum Gretl's first lamb, a real cracker and our first lamb produced from one of our homebred ewes and ram Freddo.
Imelda will hopefully get to some shows in 2022 and we look forward to her having her first lamb in 2023.
FOREST EDGE GWEN
Gwen was born on the 25th August 2019 second lamb for Delilah. she is just like her mum...gorgeous in temperament, not quite perfectly marked but always wants a cuddle. Sadly 2021 saw the loss of her first lamb to toxoplasmosis when she aborted at about 12 weeks. Having had time to recover we look forward to allowing her to become the great mum she will be.
FOREST EDGE HERMIONE
Hermione was born on 13th June 2020, second daughter to Delilah and half sister to Freddo and Gwen. She has great markings from the front but her hock marking on the left is a little small, she is full of life and has the most amazing cheeky character. on 13th February 2022 she had her first lamb, a beautiful ewe up on her feet when we woke in the morning, the best start to any day.
FOREST EDGE ISLA
Born 17th March 2021 Isla twin sister to Ian. Lovely strong black knees but her hocks are not as well marked. Isla has a beautiful fleece, as with our whole flock she is pure Swiss bloodlines and only has natural service throughout her pedigree. She will make a lovely breeding ewe for us in 2022.
